We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our team and help support the smooth day-to-day running of the Brae Rural Energy Hub.

About the Role

Administration Officer
  • Part time - 22.5 hours a week.
  • Salary from £31,200 pro rata

  • Based at Brae Youth & Community Centre, Brae, Shetland with some local travel
  • 30 days annual leave pro rata

The role of the Administration Officer is to support and assist with the onsite management and day to day running of the new Brae Rural Energy Hub located in the Brae Youth and Community Centre, alongside the Senior Engagement and Development Officer.

About the Brae Rural Energy Hub

The Brae Rural Energy Hub brings together resources and information to support Shetlanders in reducing energy costs and carbon emissions, all within a friendly, community focused space.

As well as energy advice and tips for more sustainable living, the Hub also offers:

  • Hireable co-working desks and meeting rooms

  • Electric bike hire

  • EV charge point

  • Regular community events and information sessions

This is a varied role within a developing project, offering flexible administrative and practical support as the Hub grows and responds to local needs.

About you

We are looking for an organised, approachable person who is comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and supporting day-to-day general enquiries and interactions with the public in a helpful and respectful way.

We’d love someone who is flexible, enthusiastic, and happy to support a range of administrative tasks as the Hub develops and the needs of the community evolve. You should be a collaborative team player and confident using IT and everyday communication tools such as email, calendars, and basic digital systems.
